Humanity's Promise:Donate

Dear CJA Friend

Despite humanity's promises to improve, serious atrocities and war crimes continue. Whether it is the hollowed out cities in Syria, the heartbreaking images of one million Rohingya fleeing ethnic cleansing in Burma or the continued conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo, suffering and human rights violations are rampant.

In these times, the consciousness of the world is in question. The response to these tragedies must always be justice, must always be accountability -- even if it takes decades.

On April 17, 1975, when the Khmer Rouge seized Phnom Penh, Bryant Ben, who was just a teenager, joined his family in the forced long march out of the city.

During the brutal Khmer Rouge reign, Bryant was starved, worked to exhaustion and imprisoned for minor offenses alongside millions of other Cambodians, before escaping. He lost his father and four siblings.

Now, more than 42 years later, Bryant has the chance to find justice. You can help him. The Center for Justice and Accountability represents Bryant and more than a 100 Cambodian-Americans like him before the Extraordinary Chambers of the Court of Cambodia or the Khmer Rouge tribunal.

At the tribunal, Bryant hopes to be able to share his story of how the Khmer Rouge brutality devastated his family and that of millions of other Cambodians. His testimony before the court can become a part of the path to justice and establish a historical record of how his abusers were held to account.

With your support, through a tax deductible contribution, CJA can help Bryant share his story and continue to seek justice for those who suffered under the Khmer Rouge and other oppressive regimes.  Please consider making a gift today. If you make this gift, you'll be able to help find justice for Bryant and the others like him who bravely share their stories.

Truth is power. Help us remain persistent and committed to justice. It is what the world needs now, more than ever.

Sincerely,

C. Dixon Osburn
